Fall Semester: August through November

Spring Semester: January through May

Stage School offers age-appropriate, 45-minute classes in acting, vocal music, and
dance—the ultimate musical theatre trifecta! Classes meet once a week for 12-14 weeks each
semester on Tuesdays or Thursdays, guided by skilled instructors who are passionate about
helping students develop their talents.

Music

STAGE SCHOOL Music Training classes teach the basic elements of
music, including reading and singing melodies, reading and performing
rhythms, and basic musicianship. Students will learn solfege singing,
become familiar with various rhythmic patterns in different time signatures,
and practice proper singing technique while developing sight singing and
improvisational skills. Each class is designed to provide students with the
foundational skills they need to progress to the next level.

Dance

STAGE SCHOOL Dance training classes are dedicated to providing its
students with a well-rounded education in all facets of dance. Our classes
emphasize correct technique, fundamentals and a familiarization of the
dance vocabulary in a variety of dance genres including ballet, tap, jazz,
lyrical, modern, and hip hop. *mini 6 week sessions

Acting

STAGE SCHOOL Acting classes teach the basic elements of stage
directions, demonstrate spatial awareness and understand how actors use
the three tools of an actor: face, body, and voice to prepare them to
audition for major productions. Each class culminates in a workshop
performance of an original play for family and friends. Each class is
designed to provide students with the foundational skills they need to
progress to the next level.

Bitesize Music and Movement

Tuesdays, 5:15–6:00 | Mature 3 year old, 4 – 5 year olds (PK/K)

Introduce your little one to the joy of music and movement! This playful class focuses on basic
dance steps, rhythm, and musicality. Using rhythm instruments, props, and storytelling, children
will sing songs, recite poems, and explore creative body movement. It’s a fun-filled foundation
for future performers! Class size limit – 12

 

Dance and Acting Foundations

Thursdays, 4:30–5:15 | Grades 1 – 2 (ages 6–8)

Spark creativity while learning the basics of dance and acting! Students will build foundational
steps and simple combinations while learning essential dance terminology. Imaginative music
and games help kids develop their own unique style, setting the stage for a lifelong love of
theatre. This is a basic introduction into musical theater. Class size limit – 12

 

Vocal Music 101

Tuesdays, 6:45–7:30 | Grades 2 – 5

Find your voice and make it shine! This introductory class focuses on vocal techniques, breath
control, and performance skills. Students will build confidence while learning fun songs and
gaining the tools to sing like a star.

 

Acting 101

Thursdays, 6:00–6:45 | Grades 2 – 4

Step into the spotlight and explore the art of acting! Students will discover character
development, practice improvisation, and learn how to bring stories to life on stage. It’s a great
first step into the world of theatre!

 

Elementary Broadway Dance

Thursdays, 6:45–7:30 | Grades 2 – 5

Dance your way through Broadway! This fun, combo dance class introduces ballet, jazz, tap,
and hip hop, all inspired by iconic Broadway musicals. Students will also have the chance to
experiment with character-driven movement for an extra creative challenge. Class size limit – 12

 

Intermediate Broadway Dance

Thursdays, 6:00–6:45 | Grade 6+

Take your Broadway skills to the next level! This dynamic class explores ballet, jazz, tap, and
hip hop, focusing on choreography from Broadway shows. Students will also explore character
movement for an extra layer of theatrical flair. Class size limit – 12

 

Advanced Dance

Tuesdays, 6:45–7:30 | Grade 6+ (Prerequisite: 2 or more years of dance; Because of the
increase skill level, this class requires an audition)

Take your dance skills to the next level in this advanced dance class. Students will focus on
proper dance technique as well as dance expression in contemporary and lyrical dance styles.

 

Vocal Music 201

Tuesdays, 6:00–6:45 | Grade 6+

Enhance your vocal skills with more advanced techniques. Students will focus on harmonies,
vocal projection, and emotional expression, helping them develop their unique sound and stage
presence.

 

Acting 102

Thursdays, 4:30–5:15 | Grades 5 – 6

Explore the next level of acting with deeper character work, improvisation, and audition skills.
Students will build confidence as they learn to write scripts, present monologues, and take
direction—all while developing strong communication skills for any stage.

 

Tap Intensive 101

Thursdays, 5:15–6:00 | Grade 3+

Step up and feel the rhythm! This class digs into tap techniques, teaching students how to use
their shoes to create percussive beats while dancing to a variety of music styles. Focus will also
be on strength, flexibility, and stylization through warm-ups, progressions, and fun combinations.
Class size limit – 12

 

Tap Intensive 102

Thursdays, 5:15–6:00 | 1 prior year of tap recommended; Grade 4+

Step up and feel the rhythm! This class digs further into tap techniques, teaching students how
to use their shoes to create percussive beats while dancing to a variety of music styles. Focus
will also be on strength, flexibility, and stylization through warm-ups, progressions, and fun
combinations. Class size limit – 12

 

JazzFusion

Tuesdays, 6:00–6:45 | Grade 2+

Get funky with this high-energy dance class that blends elements of hip hop, jazz, lyrical, and
modern styles. Students will build strength, flexibility, and confidence while learning expressive
and exciting dance moves that bring out their inner performer.

 

Acting 201

Thursdays, 6:45–7:30 | Grade 7+

Dive deeper into the world of acting with advanced techniques. Students will explore character
development, improvisation, monologues, script writing, and audition skills. This class builds
confidence and hones performance abilities for both large and small groups.

 

Step It Up Choreo Intensive

Tuesdays, 5:15–6:00 | Grade 4+

Ready to tackle new choreography? This fast-paced class focuses on mastering different dance
styles quickly while developing creative movement. Each week introduces a new style, and
students will even contribute to creating original choreography for the class.

 

Tap Intensive 201

Thursdays, 5:15–6:00 | Grade 4+ (Prerequisite: 2 or more years of tap; Because of the
increase skill level, an audition is required)

For dancers ready to deepen their skills, this intermediate class continues the exploration of tap
techniques. Focus will be on intricate rhythms, stylization, strength, flexibility, and complex
choreography to help students elevate their performance. Class size limit – 12

 

Tap Intensive 301

Thursdays, 7:30–8:15 | Grade 9+ (Prerequisite: 2 or more years of tap; Because of the
increase skill level, this class is for high schoolers only)

For dancers ready to deepen their skills, this advanced class continues the exploration of tap
techniques. Focus will be on precision with intricate rhythms, stylization, strength, flexibility, and
complex choreography to help students elevate their performance. **Mini 6 week class session

 

Partner Dancing and Lifts

Tuesdays, 7:30–8:15 | Grade 4+ (Prerequisite: 2 or more years of dance)

Explore dancing with a partner. Focus will be on moving rhythmically together addressing
leading, following, communication through body cues/ eye contact, and dance frame. Partner
dancing shows up in many dance styles including swing, waltzing, tango, and salsa. Short lifts
and combination lifts will be incorporated. **Mini 6 week class session
