Kristie Hewitt worked as a Video Producer and Editor, a TV News Director for the CBS the affiliate WTOC in Savannah, Ga and Commercial Producer for the ABC affiliate WJCL also in Savannah. After working in television she had the opportunity to launch her first Production Company, Colonial Coast Productions, which created corporate videos and television advertising. Kristie then moved to Snowshoe Mountain, WV where she became the Executive Producer of Snowshoe TV. Here she managed the staff and programming for the Resort run TV station. She also managed a Digital Satellite Truck which did live TV broadcasts to national broadcast companies such as the CNN, the Weather Channel, ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX News.

Eight years ago she moved to Bartlesville when her husband, Evan Hewitt accepted a position to start a film program at Oklahoma Wesleyan University. At that time she took over management and ownership of local media marketing firm, Bit Brilliant LLC and for the last several years has been helping local clients with their video, website and marketing projects.

Her local claim to fame is having worked on a feature documentary, Third Cowboy on The Right about Pawhuska native, Ben Johnson with actor Charlton Heston and famed Writer and Director John Milius. Kristie is also the recipient of six Telly Awards for excellence in television and video production. Most importantly Kristie has two children who love theatre. Their home is a virtual musical set, where they randomly and spontaneously break into Broadway show tunes at anytime day or night. She has experienced first hand how the high quality programming offered at CMT has benefited her children and the community at large. Her goal as Executive Director at CMT is to help solidify and expand their educational offerings and to continue the legacy of Children’s Musical Theatre into the next generation.
