CMT's Main-stage Musical Internship Program is designed to provide experience in various phases of the theatrical production process to college students. The internship program is an opportunity to gain valuable experience in production of a high quality, full scale musical.
Interns are paired with an adult mentor who will provide supervision and training. Therefore, the internship positions vary from year to year, depending on the needs of the main-stage musical and the desire of staff members to take on mentorship responsibilities. Artistic staff will have final determination for interns reporting directly to them.
Internships are volunteer positions. If an intern has teaching responsibility to the cast, then a nominal stipend may be provided. In situations where a college gives credit for internship experience, CMT is happy to work with college personnel to provide information and evaluations required for credit. For out of town interns who need assistance with lodging, CMT will attempt to place the intern with a local host family. Host families will not be responsible for meals. No housing or travel remuneration is offered.
If interested in an Internship, complete the application below in its entirety. References WILL be contacted, so make sure the phone number/email addresses provided are accurate. As you consider your availability, please know that we will attempt to work with your schedule limitations.
