Children’s Musical Theatre of Bartlesville Announces Leadership Restructure and New Artistic Director, Roberta Eberhard.
Bartlesville, OK — Children’s Musical Theatre of Bartlesville (CMT) is entering an exciting new chapter with the announcement of a significant leadership restructure and new hire. The CMT Board of Directors has recently taken the opportunity to re-evaluate the organization’s long-term needs and future growth. As a result, the Board has restructured the executive leadership into two distinct positions: Artistic Director and Business Manager.
This strategic division of responsibilities allows CMT to strengthen its operational and creative leadership as the organization continues to expand its reach and impact. The Artistic Director will now serve as the creative and educational leader of CMT, responsible for guiding all programming, educational initiatives, and community engagement. The Business Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, including finances, facilities, and administrative functions, ensuring strong infrastructure and sustainability.
CMT is now accepting applications for the Business Manager position, welcoming candidates with strong administrative and financial leadership experience in nonprofit or arts organizations.
“The decision to restructure came from a place of thoughtful planning and a commitment to CMT’s future,” said Lauren Murray, Board Chairman. “By establishing two specialized roles, we’re building a leadership model that allows us to better support our staff, artists, families, and community for years to come.”
Children’s Musical Theatre of Bartlesville is thrilled to announce Roberta Eberhard as its new Artistic Director. A passionate educator, dynamic director, and dedicated musician, Roberta brings over two decades of experience in arts education and theatrical production to this leadership role—along with a personal connection to CMT that spans from her childhood to the present day.
Roberta’s journey with CMT began as a student actor and has since included roles such as music director, artistic leader, and mentor. She has contributed to numerous productions over the years, including Cinderella, SpongeBob, The Music Man, Annie, Mary Poppins, Willy Wonka, and this summer’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, among others. Her depth of involvement reflects both her artistic versatility and her commitment to nurturing young talent.
In her professional career, Roberta has served as a Theatre and Choir Teacher at Rejoice Christian School in Owasso, Oklahoma, where she helped build thriving music and theater programs. Her responsibilities included directing full-scale productions, teaching a wide range of music and theater courses, and inspiring students through creative collaboration. In addition to her work in high schools, she has taught voice at the collegiate level and has held various worship leadership roles, including currently leading worship at First Wesleyan Church of Bartlesville.
Roberta holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Arkansas State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Voice from Indiana Wesleyan University. Her diverse skill set includes stage direction, vocal instruction, music theory, costuming, and arts administration.
Known for her energy, creativity, and unwavering belief in the power of the performing arts to transform lives, Roberta is excited to lead CMT into its next chapter. She looks forward to honoring its rich legacy while fostering new opportunities for artistic growth and community engagement.
CMT remains committed to maintaining all programming without interruption and is grateful for the continued support of the Bartlesville community. Please join us in welcoming Roberta Eberhard as the Artistic Director of Children’s Musical Theatre of Bartlesville!
