CMT "A LITTLE PRINCESS" POSTER CONTEST

YOU'VE BEEN TIMBUKTU'ED - June 17 through July 17

Help promote "A Little Princess" and Children's Musical Theatre of Bartlesville by having a friend or relative's yard "Timbuktu'ed"...a team of CMT volunteers will "decorate" their front yard with London and African goodies and A LITTLE PRINCESS signs! The "yard art" will remain in place for only 24-48 hours and is accompanied by a note explaining why they were "Timbuktu'ed" (as a promotion for A LITTLE PRINCESS) and who thought so generously of them (YOU!). This fun event is patterned after last year's highly successful "You've been Wonka'ed" promotion which generated a lot of buzz and made neighbors envious of each other. Reservations for the promotion, which runs June 17 - July 17, are being taken now!

The story of a little girl with a great big imagination based on Francis Hodgson Burnett's popular 19th century children's novel which has been made into several films, including the 1936 Shirley Temple Fox film. Separated from her father, and the open-hearted Africans who helped him raise her, Sarah Crewe is sent to boarding school in London. When things go badly for her there, her imagination comes to the rescue, transforming the drab institution into a place of magic and mystery. As she wins the affection of the other boarders, Sarah draws the ire of Miss Minchin, the dour head mistress. When her father is reported dead and his fortune seized, Sarah is made a servant of the institution. Sarah counters all Miss Minchin’s best efforts to degrade her with the grace and virtue of a little princess.
